The interactive stage production Elmo’s Got the Moves is expanding its North American tour with a newly announced stop in Poughkeepsie, New York. Produced by Round Room Live, the live show features popular Sesame Street characters including Elmo, Cookie Monster, and Abby Cadabby.
The tour will visit the MJN Convention Center in Poughkeepsie on Thursday, March 18, 2027. The Hudson Valley date is part of an expanded 2027 schedule bringing the production to additional cities across the U.S. and Canada.
Following its spring 2026 debut, the show returns to the stage later this month for a fall tour leg that begins September 28 in Burlington, Vermont. The live performance incorporates dancing, singing, and physical movement set to songs like “Sunny Days,” “Letter of the Day,” and “Elmo’s Got the Moves.”
Stephen Shaw, founder and co-CEO of Round Room Live, stated that the expanded tour dates aim to bring the interactive live experience to more communities across North America. Jennifer Ahearn, senior vice president of strategic partnerships and themed entertainment, noted that the stage show offers families a way to experience the long-running television franchise live.
Tickets for the 2027 performances go on sale to the general public on Friday, September 25, following a pre-sale that opened September 23. Attendees also have the option to purchase separate tickets for a post-show photo experience with select characters.
