The Gallery at Kingston Social in Uptown Kingston is hosting its fall exhibition titled Elemental | Pure Abstraction. Located at 237 Fair Street, the exhibition features work by artists Jill Duffy and Ariel Bullion Ecklund.
Curated by Pinkwater Gallery curator and Kingston Social co-founder Anne Sanger, the show runs from October 1 through November 17, 2026. The gallery walls display abstract paintings by Duffy alongside wall sculptures created by Ecklund.
Duffy is a Chatham-based artist, pigment maker, and grower who makes her own oil paints, inks, and charcoal from earth and botanicals foraged on her farm. Her process involves historic techniques to layer ink, charcoal, handmade paints, and cold wax on canvas, panel, and paper.
Ecklund is an independent curator and multidisciplinary artist based in Ithaca whose work explores minimalistic forms using unglazed ceramics and photography. Her displayed wall sculptures focus on concepts of form, line, light, shadow, and unglazed clay textures.
All artwork on display is available for purchase during regular gallery hours, six days a week from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with closures on Wednesdays. A closing reception for the exhibition will take place on Saturday, November 14, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
