The Calling will bring their signature anthemic rock sound to the Hudson Valley for a performance at the Bearsville Theater in Woodstock on Wednesday, August 26. The late summer concert comes directly alongside the official premiere of the band’s new single and music video, “Dust.”

The new track serves as the first look at the group’s upcoming 15-track studio album, “Before the World Turns to Dust.” Scheduled for release this fall via TLG and Virgin Music Group, the project marks the band’s third full-length album and their first new studio record since 2004.

Frontman, singer, and guitarist Alex Band anchors the current three-piece lineup alongside lead guitarist Daniel Damico and bassist Dom Liberati. This iteration of the Los Angeles group has spent four years touring and writing together, combining decades-long personal friendships with newer pop influences to shake up their overall arrangements.

Band wrote the lyrics for the lead single using a mix of apocalyptic themes, quantum physics, and astrophysics to explore how human connection exists on a subatomic level. The accompanying music video, directed by Tom Flynn and starring actress Katelynn E. Newberry, was filmed during a surprise snowstorm on the singer’s family property in Cleveland from a treatment written by Band’s wife.

The group first achieved global chart success with their 2001 debut single, “Wherever You Will Go,” which held the number one spot on the Billboard Adult Top 40 chart for 23 weeks. Rather than altering their musical identity to match modern pop trends, the musicians intend to stick to their classic, large-scale guitar melodies for the upcoming live dates.
