Hudson Hall has announced the mainstage lineup for the ninth annual Hudson Jazz Festival, which returns to the historic Hudson Opera House from October 2 through October 4, 2026. Hosted by media personality Keanna Faircloth and curated by Cat Henry, the event features performances inside the venue’s restored 1855 theater alongside city-wide events. This year’s programming highlights artists born abroad who have made the United States their home, as well as local pop-up performances by Bard College jazz faculty and students.
The festival opens on Friday, October 2, at 7:00 p.m. with Cuban-born composer and drummer Dafnis Prieto leading his Sí o Sí Quartet, featuring Peter Apfelbaum, Martin Bejerano, and Ricky Rodríguez. On Saturday, October 3, at 7:00 p.m., South African vocalist Vuyo Sotashe and American pianist Chris Pattishall will premiere a new song commissioned by Hudson Hall. Concluding the mainstage performances on Sunday, October 4, at 5:00 p.m. is vocalist Shenel Johns, who will perform a repertoire drawing from jazz, gospel, reggae, and American song.
Early bird festival passes go on sale to Hudson Hall members on Friday, June 26, at 10:00 a.m. and to the general public on Wednesday, July 1, at 10:00 a.m. Passholders receive entry to all three mainstage concerts, access to special events, and discounts at partner venues, local shops, restaurants, and bars. Single tickets and the full festival schedule of after-hours sets, pop-up events, and city-wide programming will be announced in August 2026.
