Mister Croissant Bakery and Cafe has officially expanded its regional operations with the opening of a second location at 28 Railroad Avenue in Warwick. The new storefront held its official grand opening on Saturday, June 27, in coordination with the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce.
The expansion follows the growth of the original flagship bakery located in Middletown. Founded by co-owner and creative director Chef Rakesh Nayak, the business focuses on high-fat ingredients and traditional European production methods.
The bakery utilizes a specialized preparation timeline that requires nearly 72 hours to complete a single batch of pastries. The technical sequence involves a 16-hour poolish fermentation, a subsequent 24-hour slow dough rise, and a precise butter lamination process to build thin layers.
Production components are sourced from international suppliers to manage flavor profiles and fat percentages. The kitchen explicitly imports specialty butter from Normandy, France, featuring an 85 percent butterfat content, alongside Callebaut chocolate from Belgium and Verona chocolate from France.
The menu architecture relies on reduced sugar levels, using chocolate varieties and 100 percent pure fruit purées to supply natural sweetness. The new downtown Warwick facility serves freshly baked croissants, artisan pastries, specialty coffees, and handcrafted beverages.
