The American Ballet Theatre Studio Company will return to Kaatsbaan Cultural Park on May 24, showcasing the next generation of professional ballet talent in a program of classical and contemporary works.
The 2 p.m. performance features rising stars between the ages of 16 and 21 who are preparing to enter the main American Ballet Theatre company or other premier global ensembles. Approximately 85% of current ABT dancers are alumni of the Studio Company, including the majority of the troupe’s soloists and principal dancers.
The appearance follows a series of sold-out performances at Kaatsbaan in 2025. While the specific repertoire for the May engagement will be announced next month, the company is known for a diverse touring program that functions as an international ambassador for the American Ballet Theatre.
“ABT Studio Company plays out charmingly as a fresh and fleet display of young dancers,” according to a review in The Wall Street Journal.
The studio company draws its members from across the globe, providing elite training and performance opportunities in venues ranging from intimate cultural parks to major international stages.
Tickets for the performance at Kaatsbaan, located at 120 Broadway in Tivoli, start at $25. Reservations are currently available through the Kaatsbaan Cultural Park website.
