Ciarán McGoldrick, a Hudson Valley chef and former “Chopped” champion, is set to return to the national spotlight this week to compete against culinary icon Bobby Flay.
The episode of the long-running Food Network series “Beat Bobby Flay” is scheduled to air Thursday, April 16, at 9 p.m. EDT. The appearance comes as McGoldrick prepares for the summer 2026 opening of his new restaurant, Andiamo, located at Casa Rialto in Middletown.
A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, McGoldrick’s resume includes stints at Michelin-starred Café Boulud in Manhattan and the James Beard Award-winning Spoon & Stable in Minneapolis. He previously secured a win during Season 57 of “Chopped.”
“Representing the Hudson Valley on a stage like ‘Beat Bobby Flay’ is an incredible honor,” McGoldrick said in a statement. “My ‘why’ has always been about creating meaningful experiences that connect people to where they are.”
The televised competition will showcase the technical skills McGoldrick intends to bring to Andiamo. The upcoming restaurant is inspired by Venetian culture and will focus on elevated Italian traditions paired with Hudson Valley sourcing. The menu is expected to feature regional meats and fresh produce from local partners like Glenmere Farm.
Andiamo, which translates to “let’s go,” is a collaboration with the Fidanza family. Management described the vision for the space as a “community cornerstone” that balances fine-dining execution with a relaxed lounge atmosphere.
