Safe Harbors of the Hudson has announced that tickets are on sale for the second annual Newburgh Fringe Festival, scheduled for Oct. 16 through Oct. 18, 2026. The weekend event will feature 65 productions and more than 100 performances highlighting the Hudson Valley performing arts community.
Performances will take place across multiple venues in downtown Newburgh, including Safe Harbors’ Ritz Theater Stagehouse, Lobby at the Ritz, and Safe Harbors Green. Additional participating partner venues include ADS Warehouse, Baristas on Broadway, and Grit Works.
The lineup includes work by comedian Lewis Black, who wrote the one-act plays Crossing the Crab Nebula and The Deal. Writer Ted Swindley will present Haunted Honky Tonk: The All New Country Music Singalong Jukebox Spooktacular alongside a new comedic one-man show focusing on Truman Capote and Tennessee Williams.
Additional scheduled events feature Campy Cult Cinema 3000 with live commentary by Newburgh native Carol Hollenbeck during a screening of the 1967 film Eden Cried. The festival will also host the Uncanny Valley Puppet Slam, an audition workshop with casting director Jack Doulin, the comedy show SPACE BAR by Ray Roy, and a 24-hour short play workshop for Newburgh Free Academy students.
Tickets for all festival performances are priced at $15 and can be purchased online at NewburghFringeFestival.org. Attendees can also buy tickets in person during the festival at the Newburgh Fringe Festival Lounge located next to Ann Street Gallery at 104 Ann Street.
