The Bannerman Castle Trust has announced its 2026 schedule of tours and special events on Bannerman Island, offering a full season of programming from spring through fall.

Proceeds from tours and ticketed events support the nonprofit’s ongoing mission to restore and preserve the historic structures and trails on Bannerman, also known as Pollepel Island. The site has become a popular Hudson Valley destination for visitors seeking history, culture, and scenic views.

All public tours begin aboard the trust’s tour boat, the MV Estuary Steward, departing from the Beacon dock across from the Beacon Metro-North train station. The 25-minute cruise travels through the Hudson River Highlands before arriving on the island. Public tours, which run May 1 through Nov. 1, last just over two hours, including travel time. Saturday, Sunday, and holiday departures are scheduled at 11 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 2 p.m., and 3:30 p.m., with additional weekday and evening tours available throughout the season.

The season opens with the Bannerman Island Annual Press Tour on April 28, followed by “I Love My Park Day,” a public volunteer event sponsored by Parks & Trails New York, on May 2.

Fundraising highlights include the Titanic First Class Dinner on May 23, limited to 44 guests, and the annual Farm to Table Chef’s Dinner on Sept. 5, with two seatings.

Special themed events return in 2026, including Annual Butterfly Day on Aug. 19, featuring educational programming and guided tours. Third Sunday Music Concerts will take place monthly from May through October during select daytime tours.

Friday Movie Nights are scheduled throughout the season, with screenings ranging from Indiana Jones: The Last Crusadeand Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid to The Princess Bride and The Great Gatsby.

Theatrical performances will also be staged on the island, including “Epic Broadway on Bannerman Island” in July, “Dracula: The Journal of Jonathan Harker” in September, and additional dance performances later in the season.

Private charter group tours are available, and tickets for all public programs can be purchased at bannermancastle.org. For more information, call 845-831-1001.
