Singer-songwriter Liz Cooper has released “Sorry (That I Love You),” the third single from her forthcoming album New Day, due Feb. 20, 2026, and announced a North American headline tour that includes a stop in Beacon.

Cooper describes the bittersweet track as an apology to herself for a complicated relationship. “The song took three painful and confusing years to be fully realized,” she said, recalling that it was rewritten during the Altadena fires in East Los Angeles. “I finally hit my breaking point and re-wrote Sorry (That I Love You) as an apology to myself.”

New Day, Cooper’s third album, was crafted during a period of personal transformation, including her move to New York, navigating a pandemic, and experiencing her first queer relationship and breakup. The album blends psychedelic pop with introspective lyrics that reflect her journey of self-discovery.

The tour includes a performance on April 24 at The Yard in Beacon. Tickets are on sale now.
